Worst Blogger Ever…..

So yea….it’s been what a gazillion years since I did one of these?  Let me check the calandar…. let’see….hmmm…january…k…ummm…..todays thursday….so 3 plus 5…carry the 3…yep it’s been exactly 1 gazillion years since I last got on here.  I’m fired:(

Oh wait…this is my site…I can do what I want…Ha!!! Booya!!!  IN your face….umm…me 🙂

Anywho, so basically the reason for no nothing on this darn thing in so long is basically because the zombie plague hit the Smith home for like 2 weeks.  I twas the grossest thing ever….so much snot, and mucus, and just grossness.

That being said I did a TERRIBLE job cooking and meal planning and feeding my husband.  We ate out too many times, and there were too many random grocery store runs which probably caused me to spend more money then I should have on food the past few weeks.  But we rolled with it.

My husband was beyond kind and loving.  He checked in on me constantly and never once complained about me not cooking, having no food in the house, and having to put away a load of laundry here and there.  What I did to deserve this man I will never know.

This week as been a constant reset button and below are the meals that I have going on this week.  Nothing fancy heck they might not even be tasty, but they are full of nutrients and they are coming out of my kitchen instead of out of a take out container….so for me it’s a win. 😉

Remember…just do what works for you and your house and your families kitchen.  No one’s there to judge you…now get cookin!!!

Here goes nothing! First meal plan

OK …baby steps…baby steps…. you got this… it’s just dinner….it’s can’t hurt you…. but the starving faces staring back at you asking hey!!! Whats for dinner???? They can hurt you….well more like really bug you….great.

Yep been there.  Been there many many MANY times.  Not that it’s always a bad place to be but at least for me it leads to stress and usual and not so nutritious and money spending solution.  So my solution was to try to plan out 5-6 days worth of dinners have everything on hand for those dinners and attack the week head on!!! ( Dressed like a viking warrior with long gross hair and a beard for days yelling at the kitchen like I’m running into battle…you know you’ve been there.)

So this is what this weeks plan looks like at our house. Nothing fancy and to be honest I have already made changes to it to kinda work with what I had on hand during a last minute change of plans event we had pop up.

With this plan there won’t be an amount on what I spent because it’s my first one and well lets face it I don’t really know what I spend this week…I know bad financial advice…don’t listen to me. 🙂

So we are trying to eat more lean protein in our house recently so these are not vegan/ vegetarian friendly recipes.  I found them on pintrest and I have already tried them in my kitchen and liked them so they are being used again. 🙂  Tested out on the hubby and he’s still alive!!
